Soft Count Room/Drop Team - Wednesdays

On the 1st of every month as well as every Wednesday you would be in the cage vault preforming soft count procedures.

A soft count, as with all members of the Tamarack Junction Casino Team, is expected to conduct himself/herself in a manner, which demonstrates initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercises confidentiality in the appropriate areas of his/her performance. 



  •  Removal of boxes from storage cabinets.
  • Removing tickets off of boxes and attaching them to currency stacks.
  • Open boxes, remove contents, and organize currency and paperwork.
  • Process currency and other information through currency counting machine.
  • Verify fills, credits, markers, payments and cash drop totals in computer.
  • Wrap currency.
  • Balance currency, chips and foreign currency.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in accordance to soft count policy.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned. 



  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Work independently and follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures.
  • Understanding of cash handling and/or accounting principles.  Ability to read and interpret numerical information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by college level courses.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Gaming card required as well as finger printing.  
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
